Get Smooth, Buttery Lips With Clinique’s Butter Shine Lipstick In Baby, Baby, Review & Swatch!

August 31 //  by Kelly Baum

I love my Revlon lip butter, and I’m always on the lookout for similar formulas. I was given this gift with a purchase edition of the Butter Shine Lipsticks by my friend, and wow, it’s very, very similar to a Revlon lip butter!

The formula is great. Very smooth, probably smoother than a Revlon Lip Butter. The shade I have, Baby, Baby, does have shimmer, but I don’t feel it on my lips at all. Because the formula is so buttery, these Butter Shine Lipsticks do tend to melt like the Lip Butters do, so be gentle with them!
These have an incredible shine and gloss to them, and they feel just like a lip balm. They retail for $15, so about twice as much as a Revlon Lip Butter, but they also have many shades I feel that Revlon misses out on. Plus, if you’re not a fan of Revlon or their Lip Butters, these are a good alternative!
The Pros:
Great formula, Baby, Baby is a fantastic color, no bad smell or taste
The Cons:
I feel like it’s a bit pricey for a product that basically melts when you use it, but that’s just me.
The Bottom Line
9/10
I’m really enjoying this lip product and I definitely encourage you to check it out next time you shop at Clinique!
