I feel like this summer has been the summer of highlighter – from Kim K. to Jaclyn Hill, it seems like “the look” is matte brown lips with enough highlighter to make your face look like a permanent disco ball is attached to it (seriously, those “100 layers of highlighter” tutorials are impressive!).
Now I’m totally on board with the highlighter trend, mainly because it isn’t contouring which I definitely cannot do, but all that being said, I’m beyond ready for the fall makeup trends to hit!
There’s something about flushed cheeks with berry lips and cozy sweaters that make it the absolute best time of the year. I may be getting ahead of myself, but I’ve already picked out my fall beauty must-haves that are already filling up my makeup bag!
My Top Fall Beauty Must-Haves
FACE:
Rimmel London Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder | $5-6
Gorgeous powder! This is a great budget buy because it sets your makeup but it’s light enough that it doesn’t look cakey which is crucial during the cooler months when my skin dries up a bit. This comes in a few shades but the transparent one is my favorite – but deeper skin tones beware because these shades do carry a bit of carrying to it!
NYX Powder Blush in Cinnamon | $2.50-4
These are one of my all-time favorite blushes and I’m so sad NYX might be discontinuing them since they are on deep discount. I love orange and berry-toned blushes for fall since they compliment flushed cheeks and warm eyeshadow so well. They complete a look!
BECCA Backlight Priming Filter | $28-30
When one gets dry skin…one gets BECCA Backlight Priming Filter! My skin gets so dry and let’s face it, old-looking, when the weather cools down so when I’m not slathering on the night cream I like to prep my skin with a luminous primer before I go in with a light layer of foundation so I can achieve a more hydrated look.

Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara | $5-7
Holy. Grail. If I had one product I wouldn’t leave the house without applying, it’s this brow gel. It works wonders and in under seconds, my entire face is transformed by gorgeous, groomed brows. This isn’t incredibly pigmented and it’s a drier formula so it works very well if you have larger, more sparse brows like I do.
Klairs Creamy & Natural Fit Concealer | $17
I don’t know what kind of unicorn tears they put into this formula but something about it is just magical. This isn’t your average concealer: it’s incredibly pigmented but it blends out like a dream. It feels like an extremely high-end concealer but with a more budget-friendly price!
Urban Decay Perversion Mascara | $22
I’ve had a string of bad luck with mascaras, but not until this came in my latest August Sephora Play Box! This is a thickening and volumizing mascara and I’m not kidding when I say it makes my lashes look like falsies – and I do not give such high praise to a mascara lightly! This is going on my repurchase list when I finish this sample.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Lipstick in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang | $12 mini size on Amazon
Some of you will recognize this as part of this year’s Sephora birthday gift and this year was such a good one! I love this lipstick – this shade is perfect for transitioning from summer to fall because it’s still a punk at heart, but it’s got these gorgeous brown undertones that look stunning with a warm brown eye look.
I hope you’re as excited for fall as I am, I can already hear the pumpkin pie is baked! I’d love to know, what are your fall beauty must-haves? Let me know in the comments because I’m always looking for new products!
Thanks for reading,
Kelly xoxo
