I cannot believe we’ve made it almost half way through July! Summer is almost over and I can’t believe all of the amazing things I’ve gotten to do this summer: go up north, see the Red Hot Chili Peppers live, eat the best sandwich of my life at Zingerman’s, and more. So here’s a quick recap of my weekend adventures…which is also an explanation as to why I’ve been slacking a bit on blogging!
Another big announcement…I’m going back to school next month! It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a while and I’m finally going to pursue my M.B.A. at Wayne State in the fall – wish me luck!
Weekend Recap – July 10
// I enjoyed the most delicious sandwich I’ve ever eaten in my life, over the weekend. I went on a “college tour” with my 11 year old brother to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and of course, we stopped at Zingerman’s Deli! They had gluten free (and soy free!) bread so I got to have a “D-$ Cuban Conundrum” which was actually my first Cuban sandwich, ever – so yummy.
// I’m moving apartments soon and I’m absolutely using it as an excuse to decorate! I just snagged this gorgeous taupe coverlet from Wayfair and I’m so excited to create a warmer, more elegant bedroom space.
// Also on my apartment shopping list, these Hemnes nightstands from IKEA – who knew cheap could look so chic?
// If you follow me on Instagram you saw my totally Insta-worthy nails. They’re gorgeous, have held up well, and are an absolute nightmare to try to text in!
// Next on my adventure list: kayaking in Ann Arbor. I’ve never kayaked or canoed in my life but it’s time to give it a try! My family asked for not just photos, but videos of how I do because that’s just how traumatic this will probably end up for me!
I live for weekends in the summertime, there’s just so much adventure to be had! And I’m enjoying it all the more this summer before I’m stuck in school for the next three years –
