If you asked any one of my friends, they would probably tell you that my wardrobe consists of one thing: navy and white stripes. I swear, I’m not obsessed; I just really, really like navy and white stripes. But just like how I try to break out of my comfort zone and try a new song or a new dessert, it’s also good to try new fashion! I grabbed a bottle of LIFEWTR at 7-Eleven last week, and I fell in love with the mixed prints on the front of the bottle. These artist-designed bottles inspired me to create an outfit that mixed stripes and blues.

Sometimes the unconventional is the most fun and exciting! If you’re looking to take your daily outfits up a level, the first step is to start with combining some prints. The bottle of LIFEWTR I picked up has artwork by Jason Woodside on the front, and I love how he’s combined dot and stripe prints in one piece!

The first step to creating an outfit that mixes prints is to put the predominant or larger print on the bottom and the smaller, less noticeable print on the top. This keeps your outfit proportional and looks ideal! I chose a black dotted skirt for the bottom and my classic navy and white striped shirt on top that has an extra surprise floral print on the pocket!

Adding a solid jacket on top and sticking to simple accessories is key when you’re being bold and mixing prints – it just keeps the entire look in check and looking fresh! And, it wasn’t too shabby that my outfit matched with my water for the day – inspiration on the outside, hydration on the inside!

So before you start your errands this weekend, stop by the refrigerated drinks section at 7-Eleven and pick up a bottle of LIFEWTR, which is purified and pH balanced, with electrolytes for taste. Start your weekend with an inspired note!

I’d love to know, how do LIFEWTR’s creative bottle designs inspire you? Have a home project or a crazy cake you’re finally going to bake? Let me know in the comments below!
