First Birchbox Unboxing
Who’s ready for my very first Birchbox unboxing? I’m also super excited for this post because it’s the very first one I’ve shot with my new camera, a Nikon D5200-and man, it is gorgeous! Anyway, this is of the May 2015 box (I was hoping for the June one, but what can you do!), which is the Cupcakes and Cashmere collaboration. The overall total for my box was about $41.75 and I was really happy with this box…but I ultimately unsubscribed because I could have very easily been unhappy with say 3 of the 5 products, which doesn’t make this worth $10 a month to me. But that’s the gamble you take with a subscription box service so I’m sure I’ll resubscribe in the future when I have more disposable income to try out new products like this every month-but for right now, it’s just not an essential part of my monthly budget. So let’s see what was in the box!

Is this box not gorgeous? I’m in love with the pattern and color scheme and I have big plans to reuse this box! So a rundown of what’s in the box:

Living Proof Restore Instant Repair Lotion full size, $29 | sample size, $7.25
W3ll People Expressionist Bio Extreme Mascara full size, $23.50 | sample size, $11.75
Notting Hill Femme by English Laundry full size, $90 | sample size, $8
Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water full size, $32 | sample size, $1.30
Naobay Oxygenating Cream Moisturizer full size, $36 | sample size, $14.4

I haven’t had a chance to try much yet but I’m most excited about the mascara-I love mascara samples because I know it’s something I’m going to use all of. I’m traveling this month so I’m happy overall with my box, I can’t wait to pack it all with me! I also made an unboxing video, give it a thumbs up if you want to see more videos like this!

Thanks for reading,
Kelly xoxo

I would also love to hear your thoughts on the mascara. I’m a big mascara person. 🙂

I’ve always wanted to subscribe to Birchbox but I totally agree with you on the whole, “well what if I don’t like all the products?” thing!

    xx, kenz
