My thoughts on Wet n Wild’s Coverall Foundation!
I just now tried this foundation from Wet n Wild (I know, a little late to the party) and I really wanted to see if it lived up to its “covering” claims at such a bargain price!
Here’s what it claims:
“All day wear” X not exactly. I got 6-7 hours at the most.
“Lightweight, satin matte finish” ✓ I will agree that this is lightweight, and it does have a satin matte finish.
“VisiBright™ complex reduces the appearance of wrinkles and rejuvenates skin” X Becuase this is a satin matte finish it definitely doesn’t reduce the appearance of wrinkles. On my dry spots, it definitely enhanced them.
“Fair” is the best match for my skintone, so if you’re fairer than me, you probably won’t find a shade in this line.
The texture is really nice-creamy but still liquidy. It blends really well and doesn’t sit too heavy on my skin. I do have slightly drier skin, but even when I applied a face oil, it still clung to dry spots.
I’m going to have to bust the “Coverall” claim here, because I tried several times to cover blemishes or red spots with this and within an hour, the redness was peaking through again.
My number one use for this product is actually as an undereye concealer-it’s not drying on my undereyes and really brightens them up!
However, I have a major problem with this packaging-everytime I open it up the product spills EVERYWHERE. No matter how I store it or what I do, it just continues to spill over the top until I can squeeze the foundation back in.
What did I think overall? B+
Would I recommend it? Yes, but only if you have normal to oily skin.
Would I repurchase it? Yes-I’m really loving it for a light coverage.
So what do you think? Have you tried this foundation? Let me know in the comments below!
