Spring Work Outfit With a Pop of Color
Guess who’s the loudest dressed at my office…that’s right, it’s ME! I love a good spring work outfit that has a pop of color – or two.
I’ve been feeling in a creative rut of sorts lately, and I realized that was partly because literally everything in my life was white, navy blue, or black. And I was getting stuck in that nautical, preppy look that wasn’t giving me the color I was missing. I always go through phases with fashion and how I want to present myself to the world and lately I’ve been embracing the brightest, happiest shades I can find.
Now, I know what you’re thinking: “Brights? For Spring? Groundbreaking.” Come on, I totally know you read that in your best Miranda Priestly voice! But don’t think this has to do with spring so much as it does as a reawakening of appreciation for all things color, polka dots, and Kate Spade!
An Ode to Kate Spade
I bought this nylon red Phoebe bag years ago and pulled it from the top shelf to be used daily again – it’s a testament to the simplicity but boldness of Kate Spade’s designs. I have no doubt I will have this bag for many more years because of that.
This hot pink bow dress is an old clearance find from Forever21. I actually found the same dress for sale in black on ThredUP if you’re interested in purchasing the same one! The blazer is by Philosophy and is an old clearance find from TJMaxx. The handbag was sourced from GILT, and is only available on resale sites, now. The necklace is thrifted – like most of my wardrobe!
