My DIY Plaid Holiday Cards

Long time, no see! My first semester of graduate school has officially ended and trust me, graduate statistics is even tougher than you may think. But I survived and while I had to take a little break from blogging to focus on school, I’m back in action and very excited to share my holiday cards this year! I always like to DIY my own cards and print them out on my inkjet printer – it saves a ton of money and I get the added bonus of creating my own design (can you tell I’m a control freak?). Here’s how my plaid holiday cards turned out!

I used Adobe InDesign to create these and it took me less than an hour to design and print! The trick to simple but elegant projects like this is to pick a feature background, like the plaid, place a white box on top and then type your message and add a monogram wreath, like I did!

The envelopes were equally as easy – I fed them through my printer and used a beautiful brush script font to create the names. Quick and painless!

I got to use the bulk of my holiday cards on top of gifts for my coworkers – this year I got everyone a mini candle and matching mini hand cream from Bath & Body Works, along with a little sachet of macarons and they were definitely a hit!

Happy Holidays and I can’t wait to share all of the amazing content I have lined up for the new year
