The temperature has dropped about 20 degrees in the last 24 hours in Michigan and I am loving it. I broke out my boots and sweater today and I had to come up with the perfect fall hairstyle to match – during the summer I rock beach waves and loose curls but once it hits fall I am all about the braid. I decided to switch it up today and try a different braid/bun style than I normally do but is still quick and easy to do in the morning. Here’s how I got the perfect fall hairstyle and my tips and favorite products I used along the way!
Five Tips for the Perfect Fall Hairstyle
I started with a few spritzes of It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In Product, which I use every morning to detangle and condition. Then I used the Remington T Studio Silk Ceramic Flat Iron to quickly create some loose curls. I find that my hair is much easier to braid or pull back into a bun when it’s been flat ironed – it just smoothes and texturizes my hair perfectly.
Then I created chunky and loose french braids on either side of my part, making sure to braid towards the back of my head. Then I gathered the ends of the two french braids and the rest of my hair into a loose ponytail and secured with a Goody Ouchless Ribbon Elastic. Then, right before the hairband, I used my index finger to separate the hair so that I could fold the ponytail up, over and through the hole. I repeated this until there was hardly any hair left and secured with black bobby pins and a few of my favorite Goody Vintage Bobby Pins.
