Every spring I get the urge to redecorate – the BF and I went home goods shopping a few weekends ago and we may or may not have spent 3 hours in the kitchen section alone! I can buy all the things in the world to fill up my home but one of the things I personally struggle with is incorporating color. My day job is as a graphic designer and my personal aesthetic is very minimalistic and I definitely bring that home with me. So in my quest to give my life a pop of color, I turned to a new book, Change Your Home, Change Your Life™ with Color by Moll Anderson (launching March 14!) and it is a great start to choose the right color to decorate with!
How to Choose the Right Color to Decorate Your Home
So I decided that I was definitely living in a more “neutral” space than I wanted to and decided to consult Change Your Home, Change Your Life™ with Color so that I could pinpoint exactly what shade to showcase in my room and start building that bridge between my environment and my personal aesthetic.
Surprise, surprise, after filling out the color journey at the end of the book, my chosen color is…blue! I’ve always gravitated toward blue, even as a child, and it’s a color of trust and strength to me. I love to surround myself with things that exude comfort and strength and I think it’s time to redecorate my space to reflect that!
Change Your Home, Change Your Life™ with Color will be available March 14, 2017 at Target, Amazon, B&N, and anywhere books are sold online. I can’t recommend this enough, it’s springtime and time to change up your space.
I’d love to know, check out Moll’s website and tell me what color you think your home needs to freshen up this spring!
