OOTD: The JCrew Downtown Field Jacket

// not sponsored

Right now I’m writing this post, huddled under three layers of blankets with a cup of soup and a giant scarf – you would never guess that just last week it was warm enough to go without a coat in Michigan! So I did what any blogger would do, I grabbed my camera, my latest jacket obsession, and headed outside to enjoy the last of the sun before it goes into hibernation for three months. I picked up the JCrew Downtown Field Jacket on a whim late last year and it definitely turned out to be a staple addition to my wardrobe:

Jacket – J.Crew Downtown Field Jacket // Sweater – J.Crew Linen Sweater Top (it’s only $15 on clearance-say what?) // Denim – Hollister // Scarf – Charming Charlie (similar) // Bag – Vineyard Vines // Shoes – G.H. Bass Co (similar) // Water bottle – S’Well

I can’t even tell you how much that day made me wish for summer! I’ll admit, this year has been off to a bit of a rocky start and I wish now, more than ever, I could take a vacation to the beach and forget about the stress for a few days. It’s hard to put aside stress, especially at the start of a new year, but I’m doing my best to stay on top of things and find at least a few positive things in every day. It’s the little things in life, sometimes.

And sometimes those little things are from JCrew! I really adore this jacket, it’s a fantastic layering piece for fall/spring and you can tell it’s well-made. I’m way too poor to justify buying a Barbour jacket, but this is a great alternative, and a total bargain online right now!

I’d love to know, are you as much of a fan of JCrew jacket as I am?

Thanks for reading,

Kelly
