Call me basic, but I am all over pumpkin spice. It’s still 80 degrees here in Michigan but I’m already breaking out my sweaters because it’s the best season of the year (well, almost)!
And since I’m busy pumpkin-spicing up literally everything in my kitchen, I thought of the perfect DIY that I know I’m going to need: a DIY pumpkin spice lip scrub.
With matte lips being all the rage right now (thanks, Kylie) I always use lip scrubs once the weather gets cold, and what better way to get in the spirit of the season than with the hottest flavors!
DIY Pumpkin Spice Lip Scrub
This lip scrub needs only three ingredients:
- Brown sugar, this serves as an exfoliator and complimentary flavor to the pumpkin spice
- Pumpkin pie spice, I found mine for under $5 at my local supermarket
- Honey (repin’ the Great Lakes)
This can be an easy lip scrub to make, but only if you get the ratios right! I made mine for a one-time use using: one tablespoon of brown sugar, one squirt (about a teaspoon) of honey, and a quarter of a teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice. Start with the smallest amount of honey and add more if you need it. This recipe does not need much honey to reach the right consistency!
I like to make mine fresh for a one time use but this can be made in a larger batch and stored for up to a week in the fridge.
And just because we all know how much I love pumpkin spice…here’s a collection of all of the pumpkin spice flavored things I could find on Amazon. I’ve already bought three things this week! I mean, come on, pumpkin spice pancake mix?! Just take all my money:
