ipsy February 2016 Bag – $117 Value?!

February 17, 2016Kelly Baum

This month my ipsy bag came in an extra big pink bag which made for a super exciting day! I’m still on the fence about canceling since I usually like only two or three of the products each month but the value I got in this month’s bag was a little awesome. Spoiler alert, I did redeem most of my points last month which is partly why this bag is so high in value but it does have a lot of other goodies!

// Items in my ipsy February 2016 ipsy bag

Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish in I’m Kind of a Big Deal, $15
Perfectly Post BFF: Best Face Forever Exfoliating Daily Face Wash, $5.25
Naked Cosmetics Pigment in Sierra Nevada, $14
Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Finish Primer Oil, $5.46
BellaPierre Cosmetics Mineral Blush in Desert Rose, $29.50
Em Cosmetics The Life Palette in Secret Admirer, $34

A few quick first impressions, I’m not super impressed by the Em Cosmetics palette-the eyeshadows are seriously lacking in pigmentation from the quick swatches I did, but I am going to play around with this and see if I can make it work because I really love how it’s designed (such beautiful packaging!). I also already have the BellaPierre Cosmetics Mineral Blush so I’m giving it away.

I think I am going to be unsubscribing after next month-I’m just not in love with anything I received this month. I don’t like pigments because they get SO messy and I received two, and I’m probably not going to use these and end up giving them away. I think I would rather take my ten dollars and buy one really awesome product I know I’ll use instead of five mediocre ones that I probably won’t use.

All in all the stand out for me from ipsy February 2016’s bagĀ is probably the nail polish, but everything else is just…meh.

I’d love to know, do you subscribe to ipsy and get a good bag this month? Let me know in the comments below!
