Year in Review: Best of Beauty 2015
Can you believe it’s almost 2016? Where did 2015 go? To be quite honest, I’m not sad to say goodbye to 2015, it was just a dreadful year that only slightly looked up in the last few months so I’ll be ringing in 2016 with lots of hopeful and positive thoughts!
But despite the year, I have used some really spectacular beauty products this year. This was a superb year in the growth of my collection and I’m definitely going to be “shopping” my collection and adding to it in the new year.
//But for now, here’s the year in review, the best of beauty 2015!
ELF STUDIO BLUSH PALETTE IN LIGHT, $6
What a gorgeous blush palette. Without a doubt this is what I reach for when I fancy blush in the morning because I don’t have to think, I only have to reach for one palette and make my selection. This has four fantastic shades from a warm burnt orange to a deepened rose that are all pigmented and blend beautifully.

ELF STUDIO CONTOUR PALETTE, $6
2015 has definitely been the year of the contour! I haven’t been much into contouring, mainly because my cheekbones are kind of non-existant, but this palette makes contouring very easy for the occasional contour! I like that I can use one shade as a highlight, one as a setting powder, one as a bronzer, and one as a contour. Seriously, go buy one of these palettes.

ELF STUDIO ILLUMINATING PALETTE, $6
2015 has also been the year of highlighting/illuminating/strobing. I’m sure they’ll find a new way to call it in 2016 (“disco lighting”, maybe?)! This is great if you want a product in the same market as the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders but on a budget. I use a mixture of all these shades as a setting powder and it’s simply marvelous-it sets my makeup but leaves me with a dewy-esque finish but definitely not oily. A solid buy in my book.

ELF STUDIO FLAWLESS FINISH FOUNDATION, $6
I quite like this foundation! I didn’t think I would, but the more I used it, the more I realized I like it for an every day foundation. It’s a medium coverage satin finish that gives me a little perfection without looking too matte or mask-like.

MAYBELLINE BROW DRAMA BROW MASCARA, $7
I have never been one to fill in my brows until I met this product. This is a life saver! I use this product every single day and that ain’t no lie! This lightly fills in sparse or discolored areas and is perfect if you only want to lightly polish your brows.

ELF MOISTURIZING LIPSTICK IN BORDEAUX BEAUTY, $3
This is my fall/winter staple lip color! It doesn’t come out as scary as it looks in the tube, it’s more of a delightful berry stain and the formula is creamy and long lasting. A perfect match for $3!

ELF GOTTA GLOW LIP TINT, $6
I don’t know what kind of sorcery the magicians at elf’s laboratories have concocted to come up with this lip tine but it’s a brilliant lip balm! It’s very moisturizing and glossy and adapts to your body’s pH levels to produce a customized color. On me, it turns a bright fuchsia pink which is an excellent match for my coloring. I love it so much, I even bought one for my mom!
