Wet n Wild Balm Stain review: the best jumbo lip pencils!
Ladies, I love a good lip pencil. They’re easy to apply, come in a lot of great shades, and look like a lot less maintenance than a lipstick! I tried out a few other shades from Wet n Wild’s balm stains a while back and while I thought they were good, I was wowed by them. Well, that’s because I hadn’t met these two shades yet: Red-ioactive and Coral of the Story. I don’t even care that darker lip colors are trending right now because I’m so in love with these two shades! Here’s my Wet n Wild Balm Stain review:

Wearing Red-ioactive

Let’s start off with the formula:
It’s delightful. It’s pigmented and creamy without being too heavy or streaky. These are both opaque cream finishes with a gloss. It’s like wearing a lip gloss without my hair getting stuck in it and being too sticky.
Also, this does stain. Especially with these brighter shades, I can blot my lips after application if I just want a stain or I’m not feeling gloss that day.

So the staying power is kind of meh:
I mean, it’s a balm stain. The gloss doesn’t last forever and it doesn’t claim to. But, it definitely stains my lips after the gloss wears off.

It’s not drying but not moisturizing:
These are supposed to be moisturizing gloss balms and honestly, these aren’t going to act like a Nivea lip balm or anything. But, they don’t dry my lips out either.

Overall these get a big thumbs up from me. My lips are naturally quite pigmented so it’s difficult for me to find products that have complete coverage-so for $2, these are definitely a good buy!

Have you tried these balm stains? If you have any shade recommendations, let me know in the comments below!

Kelly xoxo
