How to Have the Best Summer Trips
So roadtrips are a pretty inexpensive way to get out and see the world, especially if you have a caravan or motorhome that lets you save money on accommodation too. I know that many parents choose this option once they have a few children and stay at the best caravan parks for a family motorhome holiday to keep costs low. However, these kinds of trips can get costly and painful if you don’t plan ahead and take the right road trip tools with you. I’ve already taken two roadtrips this summer, one by myself and one with the family so I have a couple of ways to make the rides more enjoyable and cost-efficient!
This phone is good pick for long car rides because it’s almost 6 inches in height-crazy! I used the 4G LTE Walmart Family Mobile service to stream movies or play ones I stored on my SD card which is an excellent choice if little ones are in the car, too! Streaming videos is great if you have an extra long ride or you can’t download videos in time for the trip. I even plugged in the aux cord so I could enjoy one or two while I was driving!
WFM is $29.88 a month for the first line and includes up to 1GB of 4G LTE coverage-there’s a lot you a can do with a whole gigabyte! If I wasn’t streaming movies, I had the aux cord plugged in so I could stream some of my favorite tunes. I made a couple of playlists on my favorite music streaming apps and streaming was honestly a better choice because had I bought all that music for a 15 hour roundtrip car ride, it could have easily cost me $30. So by using WFM’s affording coverage instead, I definitely saved some money and got a good variety of songs and movies to stream!
Another way I utilized my phone and WFM service during my trips was gas saving apps. Every time we were running low on gas I hopped on an app to search my current location and see what gas station near by had the cheapest gas. This may not seem like the biggest way to save money on a trip, but trust me, $2.50 is a big difference to $3, especially when you have to fill up 50+ gallons roundtrip!
My final way to save is using the camera on the ZTE ZMAX for all your travel pics-if you want great pictures but can’t afford a digital camera, or one for everyone in the car, this is a great alternative and costs no extra money! I took some amazing shots with this phone and you can edit them right there with some free photo editing apps and then upload them right to social media to share with family and friends! Here’s one I took:
ZTE Zinger – $29.88 starting
Galaxy Avant – $149.00 (was $199.99)
ZTE ZMAX – $179.00 (was $199.88)
Alcatel Fierce 2 – $99.88 (was $129.99)
Alcatel Evolve 2 – $34.83 (was $59.88)
LG 450- $29.88
Alcatel One Touch Pop Astro- $64.88
LG Leon LTE: $99.82
I picked up my phones at Walmart, which you can find at the Wireless Station in the front of the store, or the electronics section in the back!
