Before I was on the Walmart Family Mobile plan I was paying $40 a month for a plan that wasn’t unlimited, causing me numerous overage charges which are a pain when you’re trying to save. But WFM is $29.88/month (for the first line) Unlimited Talk, Text & Data service plan which includes up to 500MB of 4G LTE data, and trust me, saving that little bit each month helps and having the 4G LTE data makes planning for a trip on the go so much easier.
It’s also really easy to switch over, in case you were wondering how the process is. I bought my phone in store at Walmart along with a SIM card (additional $25) which is their “starter kit”. If I had any trouble (which I did getting my number switched from a different carrier) I was able to call their customer service and get it solved quickly!
The biggest time-consumer of a trip is actually planning for it. What you need to pack, what swimsuit to buy, do you need a new pair of aviators, it’s all little things that add up. I love that I can browse online stores, blogs, and Spring Break essentials guides like the one I wrote yesterday, all on a 4G network if I need to so I can plan at my pace and whenever I have time to! And as a bonus, the screen quality is fantastic (trust me, I’ve had a lot of phones) and I love how crisp and clear the photos and websites are coming out on this LG L90!
Personal travel assistant –
One of the things I did with this phone is I decided to make an entire home page dedicated to traveling. It’s like having a personal assistant in your pocket! While I plan for spring break, my favorite apps are Trip It, for making an itinerary of your trip and flight information that you can share with friends if you’re traveling in a group; Flights, for if there’s an issue with outbound/inbound flights and you’re in a jam (they always happen at the worst times!); and Travel Quotes, which is just an app with well-designed wallpapers with travel quotes to get you in the mood for a great trip!
Now that I’ve shared my travel tips & tricks, I’d love to know how you plan for spring break! What’s your favorite destination?
