GET BETTER BB: Hydroxatone anti-aging BB cream
With all the buzz around BB creams this summer, there’s the debate on whether or not a BB cream is nothing more than a tinted moisturizer. In Hydroxatone’s case, this is definitely more than just a tinted moisturizer.
Here’s what I noticed while I wore this BB cream:
-Smoother appearance, especially smaller pores
-Slight glow, but not an oily finish
The shade I have is medium and it’s a bit too dark for my light skintone, but so far I haven’t had anyone ask why my face is dark, so I’m assuming I can get away with it.
Unlike other BB creams I’ve tried, this one doesn’t have too oily of a finish. Yes, it’s dewy, but a little powder fixes that.
Also unlike other BB creams, I’ve noticed that this one has quite a lot of coverage for what it is. It’s still a light coverage, but more than what I’ve seen in other BB creams.
My only cons about this product are the ingredients-methylparaben, and I’m pretty sure there’s a fragrance in there because it smells like fruity gingerbread to me.
Overall, I would recommend this if you’re looking for a more high scale BB cream. It retails for $40, so keep in mind what you’re paying for a tinted moisturizer with spf & a little coverage!
